USES OF GARLIC CONFIT

FLAVOUR & TEXTURE

A mild, deep flavour that duets perfectly with many dishes.

The confit process drastically reduces the sharpness and the pungent taste of raw garlic — resulting in a delicate yet deep flavour without any of the bitterness. Think of as being similar to the umami goodness of truffle oil, minus the chemicals and you know, the borderline damp-sock taste that most artificial oils have in a similar price range.

Soft, rich and creamy texture that delicately spreads easily over everything. 

The confit process softens the garlic, but does not fry it. Instead of hardening, it softens to the point of just being barely able to keep its clove structure. It only takes a gentle force to melt and spread cloves from a garlic confit.

From the first time I’ve tried the orient confit, I’ve always preferred its texture over other butters. It’s lighter and gives off that bit of a kick! It's my go to condiment at home to add a bit of mild spice into whatever I’m eating. You can say I’m a bit of a fanatic of fresh, homemade, quality sauces.

I’ve tried the original garlic confit and the orient version and I gotta say that I’m for this orient one! I was mixing it in with my wife’s laksa the other day, it synergizes super well with the coconut milk and its richness.

Char Siu is a staple at my parents house. They’re the living healthy type people since they’re getting older. They started using this orient confit to finish the char siu off before serving and I tell you, the whole cloves just complement the barbeque so well. Don’t even worry about getting it on the noodles too, it pairs well with it too!

We Produce 100 bottles every Saturday fortnight, and sales open the following Monday after a drop, until sold out. We sell extra bottles (from safety overproduction for the day, and fresh ingredient excesses) on social media on Saturday morning – so follow us there if you missed a drop, or simply wait for the next one!

All deliveries are Saturday from noon till evening.
